This month marks the beginning of what we hope to be a recurring theme on the Bessie Head blog - our first Bessie Head disciple shares her love of black and inspirational images on our blog... If you would like the chance to also be featured on the blog, then email one image with a quote that inspires you to

Without further adieu, let us introduce Ashleigh (and all of her loves...)

(Paper Cow by Anna Wili)

I've always loved black since I can remember.

(Photography by Silver Saga)

My first love is my boyfriend Daniel. I feel that if there is such a thing as a soulmate - he is mine.

(Black Lingerie)

Designer love? My first real designer love was Gail Sorronda. I fell absolutely in love with her Murmur collection. My first designer possession was a Gail Sorronda dress.

(Raw Crystal Rings)

Fetishes? I would say I have a real fetish for jewellery and shoes. I love big chunky rings and necklaces. And I have an ever growing shoe collection. You can never have enough accessories or shoes.

(Jeffrey Campbell)

Film that moved you to tears? I've actually never cried from a movie but "Girl, Interrupted" is definitely a sad story. There are many moments in that movie I had to bite my lip and try not to cry.

Dream role? A fashion stylist! I would kill to style for amazing fashion magazines and labels.

(Pamela Love)

Favourite song? The Kill's U.R.A Fever. It's so catchy and I never get tired of it.

Most treasured possession? That's a hard one. I would say my collection of vintage cameras given to me by my late Grandfather. They are very dear to me.

(Cambridge Satchel Company)

Inspirational words? is a quote my boyfriend told me by Gandhi "Almost everything you do will seem insignificant, but it is important that you do it".

Celebrity I would most like to style? Iekeliene Stange. She has an amazing sense of style so she probably wouldn't need any help.

Rain day indulgence? Wrapping myself up in a rug with my boyfriend, drinking tea, eating chocolate and watching movies or documentaries.

Thankyou Ashleigh x

Described as "Genghis Khan meets Marie Antoinette" by her mother, Paz De La Huerta is Bessie Head's current girl crush for May.  Her style is fierce and individual, and comes just as effortlessly as her talents on screen in HBO's Boardwalk Empire and in films such as Cider House Rules

Perhaps the thing we love most about Paz is her large Cobra tattoo that slithers up her ankle.  "It's to remind myself that I can transform... I can peel away layers of skin.  I can constantly change myself".

Christine Centenera

We caught a glimpse of the Fashion Editor of Harpers Bazaar arriving at the Ellery show and had to get you a picture... Such a beautiful outfit.

Today's ELLERY show in Chippendale was arguably the highlight of the week.  With appearances from Lara Bingle, Teresa Palmer, and Ruby Rose, the multi-level show was a frenzy of paparazzi, buyers and media.  Harpers Bazaar sat opposite us, with the beautiful Christine Centenera wearing a sheer black skirt and wooly cardigan.  Models filed out in pairs of two - some girls paired with male models wearing oversized Ellery knits, shirts and skirts.  Jennifer Hawkins appeared in a floor length canary yellow show piece, Julia Nobis looked as beautiful as ever - All together we left wanting more than ever to be apart of the Kym Ellery dream.
