This month marks the beginning of what we hope to be a recurring theme on the Bessie Head blog - our first Bessie Head disciple shares her love of black and inspirational images on our blog... If you would like the chance to also be featured on the blog, then email one image with a quote that inspires you to info@bessiehead.com.au
Without further adieu, let us introduce Ashleigh (and all of her loves...)

I've always loved black since I can remember.

My first love is my boyfriend Daniel. I feel that if there is such a thing as a soulmate - he is mine.
(Black Lingerie)
Designer love? My first real designer love was Gail Sorronda. I fell absolutely in love with her Murmur collection. My first designer possession was a Gail Sorronda dress.
(Raw Crystal Rings)
Fetishes? I would say I have a real fetish for jewellery and shoes. I love big chunky rings and necklaces. And I have an ever growing shoe collection. You can never have enough accessories or shoes.
(Jeffrey Campbell)
Film that moved you to tears? I've actually never cried from a movie but "Girl, Interrupted" is definitely a sad story. There are many moments in that movie I had to bite my lip and try not to cry.
Dream role? A fashion stylist! I would kill to style for amazing fashion magazines and labels.
(Pamela Love)
Favourite song? The Kill's U.R.A Fever. It's so catchy and I never get tired of it.
Most treasured possession? That's a hard one. I would say my collection of vintage cameras given to me by my late Grandfather. They are very dear to me.
(Cambridge Satchel Company)
Inspirational words? is a quote my boyfriend told me by Gandhi "Almost everything you do will seem insignificant, but it is important that you do it".
Rain day indulgence? Wrapping myself up in a rug with my boyfriend, drinking tea, eating chocolate and watching movies or documentaries.
Thankyou Ashleigh x
Bessie Head.
