As you hopefully guessed,
the always charming Gail Reid from Gail Sorronda popped into Bessie Head this week to talk life and love with our buyer and Manager - Marnie
On the cusp of her much-anticipated Autumn/Winter collection 'Black Chalk', we wanted to ask Gail the thought-provoking and nonsensical questions everyone else always seems to leave out. Afterall, there are only so many times a designer can be asked to recount their inspiration..
So here goes nothing.
Marnie: If happiness was the national currency, what would make you rich?
Gail: Shark documentaries.
M: Has your greatest fear ever come true, if so what was it? If not, what is it?
G: Deep sleep paralysis has happened and I fear it will happen again.
M: What is your happiest childhood memory, what makes it so special?
M: What would you do differently if you knew no one in the industry would judge you?
G: Talk about the New World Order.
M: At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
G: Jumping off the 10m platform at my local pool.
M: Where is your favourite place to eat in Brisbane?
G: Oporto Wintergarden
M: What is something you know you do differently than most people?
G: I sleep in a foetal position where my knee almost touches my chin.
M: If you could invite 3 people from anytime in history to dinner, who would they be and why?
G: I would invite Sasha Grey because she really stun guns me. Edith Bouvier Beale (Little Edie) because she is an eccentric and Lord Monckton (Christopher Walter Monckton, 3rd Viscount of Benchley) because he is genius and I like his alternative theories.
M: What's your most favourite word in the world?
G: Opiate
THANKYOU GAIL! X
